I am now unravelling a rope I made out of overlapping string, unravelling it and photographing it. As I unravel it I am brushing on acrylic paint, unravel it a little more and let the paints blend into each other. I am aiming to animate the unravelling process, not something I've done before, but it may be an interesting thing to attempt.
If that works I will have a presentation or animation to show, and also the unravelled rope itself will become a "thing". Im keeping with the brief it could be a giant ball of interconnected, colourful fibers, maybe a pompom!!
